Process Mining Camp is the place for experienced process miners to meet and learn from each other. But what if you are still relatively new and have never done a process mining project yourself? Is camp also right for you?
Well, it absolutely is! There is no better way to learn than by looking over the shoulder of a professional at the top of their game. You will take away so much, just from listening to other process miners discussing their challenges, their approaches, and their perspective. And, of course, you will also get plenty of hands-on practice yourself — including the experience of working on a realistic process mining case.
Having said that, in order to make camp a worthwhile experience, you need to have a basic understanding of the core process mining concepts. This is why we introduced boot camp a few years ago. This basic training will make you familiar with the essentials and prepare you for camp, so that you can hit the ground running.
At this year’s Process Mining Camp we are making boot camp available to all campers free of charge. And we invite all of you to join us for the first session, even if you won’t be able to join us at camp!
Boot camp takes place online, over two sessions. In the first session we introduce the technology and position it with respect to other methods, so that you can clearly place it in your head. Then, we guide you through a typical process mining scenario, step by step. Afterwards, you will learn simplification strategies for complex process maps. Finally, we give you a homework exercise with concrete questions to analyze. In the second session, you will discuss the solution to the homework exercise and learn about typical analysis questions and common data challenges.
While the second session takes place one week before camp, the first session takes place three times and is open to the public. So, if you are still on the fence about joining camp, or even if you are just looking for a crash course of process mining, this is a great chance to get a head start in this topic.
